NTPC-Simhadri has initiated a four-week workshop called Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) for girls aged 10-12 years from the neighbouring government schools of NTPC-Simhadri plant, Parawada in Anakapalle district. GEM will provide training in self-defense, yoga, basic English, Hindi, maths, science, general knowledge, life science, dance, drama, music, arts, and crafts.
